Proton Passは、Proton AGによって開発されているフリーミアムのパスワードマネージャである。

概要[編集]

Proton Passは、ログイン認証情報、メールエイリアス、クレジットカードデータ、パスキー、2FA秘密鍵、ファイル、メモを、256ビットAES-GCMで暗号化された仮想保管庫に保存できる。[1][2]

ブラウザ拡張機能は、ChromiumベースのブラウザおよびFirefox、Safariに対応している。[3][4][5][6][7]

2022年4月にProtonがSimpleLoginを買収した後、両社のエンジニアはProtonブランドでリリースするパスワードマネージャーの開発に取り組んだ。 [8][9][10]

2023年4月20日、Protonは既存のProtonユーザー限定でProton Passのベータ版を公開した。[11][12][13] 2023年6月28日、Proton Passはフリーミアムモデルで全世界に正式リリースされました。当初はブラウザ拡張機能（ChromiumベースのブラウザおよびFirefox）とモバイルアプリ（iPhone/iPadおよびAndroid）として提供された。[2][14][15][16]

Proton Passは2023年にリリースされ、概ね好評を得たものの、競合他社と比較して機能が不足している点について批評家から批判を受けた。

Privacy Journalは「機能面ではやや物足りないが、提供するツールの質は高い」と評した。[48]
