シナアマガエルは、中国南東部や東部、台湾に生息するアマガエル科のカエルの一種である。ベトナムからも1件記録があるが、本種かそれともヨーロッパアマガエル(Hyla annectans)なのかは不明である[1]。
本種は鼻口長は25～33mmで、森林の樹木や低木に生息するが、農耕地（耕作水田、池、トウモロコシの茂み）でも見られる[2]。
国際自然保護連合（IUCN）はシナアマガエルを「低危険種」に分類しているが、生息地の喪失が心配されることがある[3]。
